    If you have a system link with HCN, you will need to implement the changes so that users can continue to make prenotifications. Portbase will support data processing with both the old and the new codes for a further two months from today so that you can continue to work without disruption. From 9 May 2022, only the new HPD2 codes will be supported. It is therefore important that you implement the necessary changes in your system between now and 9 May 2022.

MCA introduced the property handlingUpdateBypassAllowed for any terminal that has the property handlingUpdateForbidden for certain modalities. Use getTerminals to check which terminal this property is introduced for.

    With this new property, there is no need to cancel a pre-notification and create a new one anymore, MCA now executes these steps for the operator. The handling declaration in the tracking update will contain two new fields indicating the by-pass. declarationUsingUpdateBypass indicating the by-pass is used for this handling and cancelForUpdateByPassAcceptedByTerminal whether the first step, cancel, is accepted by the terminal and whether the second part, the new pre-notification, can be sent out to the terminal. As long as the full update is not accepted or rejected the status of the handling declaration will stay 'declared'.

    Note - This setting will first be introduced for the RST terminals. Portbase will inform when RST starts using this feature.

    Note - This setting will work for new visits, old visits that do not have the terminal property 'handlingUpdateBypassAllowed' yet, will still require the cancel and declare route.
